Splurge!

So anyone that knows me knows I am FRUGLE! Like, its a little ridiculous. I don't like to spend money at all! (I bet you are wondering what I am doing married to Nate then ;)....well, I splurged today on something I have been DROOLING over for a while! I am very scatter-brained so to keep my brain in check, I carry a weekly planner in my purse. Well I learned about Erin Condren Life Planners from reading several blogs and I decided I needed one! What I didn't want to do though is spend $50.00 on one....sooooo, I have been waiting VERY patiently for a 50% off coupon to emerge. Apparently, all of my waiting paid off though because today, I found a coupon and ordered my very own Life Planner! I can't wait for October 7 to get here so I can see it! (sad I get so excited about a planner) You can get your very own Life Planner for 50% off by going to the website www.erincondren.com and placing your order. Just enter coupon code SEEYOUSOON25 and yours will be here before you know it! I ordered the one below....

2 years

2 years ago today I married my best friend. It had been the BEST 2 years of my life. I love Nathan more today than I ever thought possible and know that that love will continue to grow for years to come! I have been so blessed in these 2 years with such a Godly man. I thank God everyday for giving Nathan to me and pray that I am everything he imagined his wife to be.

Nathan,
I love you to the moon and back. Thank you for being a leader for our family and loving me unconditionally. I will forever be grateful to God for placing you in my life! You have been an amazing husband to me. I'll love you forever.

(sorry if these pics are fuzzy or sideways! I'm took them on my phone and am also posting from my phone so I'm not sure how it will look!)

Blessings,
The Aveys

Kansas city

We are on our way to Kansas City right now to go to Worlds of Fun (I know! In my last post I said 6 Flags!). I went to dinner with my parents last night and then my brother Dalton (aka, Tophie) spent the night with me to "protect" me while Nathan is out of town...what a good brother I have! We stayed up late and watched movies and I crafted some! I'll be posting pics later of my progress! Hope you all have a good Saturday! What a great day to spend with family! I'm blessed! (and missing my hunter TERRIBLY!)

Midweek Randoms

This week has been a long one so far. Friday can't come soon enough! How has your week been?

I'm looking for some good crockpot recipes. I need to start using my crockpot more and would love some ideas. I am following Crock Pot Girls on Facebook now and they have some good ideas I just need to try some!

Last weekend we bought Nathan a new bow. I was so happy to get him one because he has been wanting one bad! Isn't he cute shooting it? Maybe I'm just partial!

This weekend Nate is going down to the deer lease we are on with out friend Nick so I will be home alone....all weekend. Can't say I'm thrilled about that but, that does mean I will have some much needed craft time! And, Saturday I'm tagging along with my parents youth group to go to 6 Flags in Kansas City so that should be fun!

I'm really excited about having some craft time this weekend. We have been so busy I haven't had any time to sit down at my sewing machine or finish any other projects. This weekend I am planning on making some curtains for a friend that I told I would a month ago!, finish my wreath, make a taggie for someone at work, and any otter projects I can fit in it!

A lot of blogs I follow have been writing about their Erin Condren life planners...I am seriously thinking about ordering one. I am literally on her website everyday looking at them! They are a little pricey but seem worth the price with everything included in them! Plus, if you order now, you get the remaining months of 2011 for free!! I think I may be purchasing one in my near future!

Have a good rest of the week!

Long Weekend

This past weekend we had a long, 3 day weekend. It was much needed and very nice to spend an extra day relaxing! Friday night we headed over to my in-laws house to stay with Nathan's Aunt Phyllis for a couple of days while his parents went to Branson. She is a HOOT and we had so much fun with her! We just hung out Friday night and most of Saturday but Saturday night, we HAD to watch the first Razorback game of the season! I love football season and was very excited to watch the game! We also taught Phyllis to call the Hogs when we scored....she had us laughing so hard! I have a video but can't get it to upload...maybe another time!

Phyllis had so much fun watching the puppies for us. She was a great babysitter.

Sunday after church, we decided to go out to our best friends, Nick and Maranda's house. They have the SWEETEST little girl Bella. We are just in love with her! When we got there, she was playing on her new horsey swing. Isn't she the cutest??

We are so thankful for such great friends! We ended up staying the night out at their house because the boys decided they were going to get up early and predator hunt for a while. This mean't that Maranda, Bella and I got to sleep in! It was SO nice to not have to wake up with an alarm clock!

Today is Friday which I am so happy about! It has been a busy week at work and I am ready for a weekend! I have been sick most of this week with a head cold / flu bug of some sort so I am praying it is gone tomorrow so I can enjoy my weekend. Hope everyone has a nice, safe weekend! I know this weather is perfect so we will be enjoying doing some things outside hopefully!
