Playing Catch-up

I've been at my new "job" for 2.5 weeks now....and I am loving it!  The first 2 weeks Porter spent with his Gigi (Nate's mom) so I could get the hang of what I was doing.  He's been home with me this week and so far, it's been good.  I'll have to be honest, I was worried.  I was worried about how Porter would act, I was worried I'd want to play with him all the time.  And honestly, he does cry sometimes when I have to be on the computer.  And I'd MUCH rather be playing with him.  But we are loving being together!

Anyway,  I'm not going to write a lot in this post, I am just going to do an iPhone dump and post a BUNCH of pictures...which I know you'd rather see those anyway!

Porter and sweet cousin Charlotte...these two are going to be the best of buds

Last Thursday was our 4 year anniversary.  My how time flies!  We celebrated by going to dinner and walking around the mall and Cabelas.  It was nice to spend some quiet time together, just the two of us.  Nate brought me home pretty pink roses and also bought me new camo...romantic, right?  He ALWAYS buys me new camo..lol!  Sweet boy!

5 on Friday!

I'm linking up with 5 on Friday again!  Join in on the fun!

{one}
Today is my LAST DAY OF WORK! (read more about it here) I can't even believe it!  Porter and I threw a mini dance party in the truck this morning!  He has no idea what's in store for him!

(our celebration picture this morning...please disregard the terrible coloring.  we were in the bathroom getting ready and you just can't ever work well with bathroom lighting)

We had a baby shower brunch in Sunday School last Sunday and we were all asked to bring something to eat.  I decided to wake up at 6a and make Pioneer Woman Cinnamon Rolls....boy am I glad I did.  I am not trying to toot my own horn but those were GOOD.  So good in fact I am making another batch this weekend.  My Mama didn't get any last weekend so I only see it fair if I share the goodness with her....and maybe a couple more for myself!

(and yes, that is a center out of one cinnamon roll.  I felt obligated to taste them before I made my whole SS class eat them.  and of course you have to eat the center of that ooey goodness!  don't worry, I ate that one once we got there!)

Since we are on the subject of cooking, I have been in the cooking mood lately.  I don't know if it's not having the crazy work load anymore or what but I have been pinning and marking recipes in cookbooks like a crazy lady lately.  The Pioneer Woman and I are becoming quite good friends!  And I don't think Nathan minds that much either!

I've had this for a while now but I forgot to post a picture of it.  I wanted to get my friend Maranda something unique for her birthday so I was on the hunt.  Etsy is my go to website for all things gift.  I found this CUTE bracelet for a great price and knew she had to have it.  Since it was such a great price I ordered one for me too!

(not a great picture but I usually wear it over by my Flavor Flav watch)

Did I mention it's my last day of work ;)

Have a great weekend!!!

Craft Time

I was browsing on pinterest one night this past week and found a wreath I really liked. I've been wanting to make a new one for my front door for a while and since Nate worked some this past weekend, I knew it would be a good opportunity to work on one.

Here is the look I was going for...

It's a lot different than if normally pick but I love the colors and thought it would be good until I can get a Halloween wreath made! Perfect for fall!

Here is the outcome...

I did add the "A" in the center because I love a good monogram!  I'm still deciding if I love it but I think I like it enough to keep it up for the time being! You're always your own worst critic!

Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend! We didn't do much but that was the plan!
