Lowes.....my new favorite store :)

You know you go to a store too much when everyone in there smiles at you and says "Hey! Haven't seen you since yesterday!" Well this is exactly how I feel at Lowe's. It feels like Nathan and I are there daily. But, I can't say that I hate it! I am having so much fun picking out things for the house! Tonight we went and narrowed our countertops down to 3 different options! I never realized how hard it was to make these choices but I am really putting some deep thought into it considering I have to live with it for the next however long. It is so funny to me how much of an opinion Nathan has! I love that he does, don't get me wrong...it just makes me laugh sometimes! :) We really had fun this weekend! We started putting the house together and I think it is going to come together really nicely! We are super excited and I will make sure to post pictures soon! (but I will wait until we are completely done...don't want to spoil the surprise :). Well, hope everyone has a wonderful week! I already can't wait for another weekend! We are HOPEFULLY building the goat pen next weekend (like we have supposed to for the last 3) so hopefully I will have pictures of that completed too!

See ya!

WOW!

I hagve completely fallen off of the blogging bandwagon!! We have been so busy wedding planning and working on school and work things! I have so much to blog about!

Regarding the house....we have finally started moving things in!! We are sooo excited! We have moved over all of the furniture we have except for Nate's bedroom furniture! It is looking soooo nice! We do not have everything set up by any means but we do have a pretty good start on it. I think Nate is hoping to be in within the next couple of weeks! Kinda of makes me nervous because it makes the whole wedding thing a little more real! We have sort of set up the living room like we will want it and Nathan's "man room" is also sort of set up, but other than that we haven't done much!

We have also taken engagement and bridal pictures!!! Yay! I have so been looking forward to taking these for so long now! I thought it would never get here! We took engagments towards the end of March and have already seen the proofs. Let me just say....my photographers are wonderful! You can see their blog at www.photosmemtalk.com. They are excellent to work with and have amazing product to offer! As for bridals, I took them last Sunday and my parents and I are going to the viewing on May 9th! I am sooo ready to see them! We went to the neatest places and they had the most creative ideas! We also went and picked up my bridal boquet at my florist. We decided to use Brick Street Botanical up in Rogers. You can see her work at www.brickstreetbotanical.com. We are super excited about using her. My whole idea for our wedding was to have somthing completly unique with just the right amount of funkiness! I love unique different things and I am so excited about September 19!!! Mom and I have been working hard and are ready for things to start falling into place!

We have 2 showers already planned!!! YAY!! My first one will be July 11th (my best friend's birthday). This one is being put on by all of the wonderful ladies at First Baptist Springdale that have watched Nathan grow up into the man he is today. We are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives! The second one is on July 25th and my best friend is putting this one on for us. She is my maid of honor and is also including my 5 other bridesmaids. They are all wonderful and mean the world to me! Nathan and I are the most blessed people in the world to be surrounded by all of these wonderful people. Nathan's aunts are also planning on putting us on a shower for just our 2 families and I am soooo looking forward to that! It is just a time for our two families to get together, meet, and prepare for our big day!

Needless to say, we have been busy, busy, busy! I promise I will not wait so long to blog next time! Much love!!

Drum roll please.......

And the color we chose for the Master Bedroom is......CHOCOLATE BROWN!!! It is soooo beautiful! I was so torn on what color to paint our room! It was definetly the hardest decision yet! Our comforter is a gold color with blue and mocha colored paisley on it....very beautiful! Well i was torn between painting it a soft blue or a goldish color. I asked Nate's aunt Randa (Miranda is her real name!) for her vote and she said "Well why not a mocha brown or a chocolate brown??" I hadn't even thought of that!! And I even went to school for interior design! Needless to say, the next day we were at the paint store buying a beautiful, rich chocolate brown! I will post pics soon! I know I said I would this time but it has been so crazy! Now I can't decide which room I will like better! I was sure the kitchen would be my favorite! We are painting it next and we have picked a color called Copper Gleam! It is a burnt orange color with a gold sheen to it! Soooo pretty! Until next time! :)

House update!

Today Nathan and I spent ALL DAY working on the house!! We actually spent all weekend working on it. It was so much fun and we got so much accomplished! We are probably 3/4 of the way finished painting and then we are going to start on the countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms! YAY! We also put mulch in the flowerbeds this weekend.....we have used 24 bags of mulch so far and still need about 10-12! We did not realized how small of a space it would take up. We are also going to be landscaping the front yard soon! I am soooo excited about that! Yay! This is a short post but I will update again soon! Next time I will try to have pictures of the house.

Love much!

New living room furniture + a dining room table!!

Well a couple weekends ago Nate and I were driving down the road and we passed Ashley Furniture. Nate said "Babe, why don't we stop and look at some furniture?" I was completely astounded! I said "Well sure.....are you sure you want to?" He told me he did so we stopped in. We found a beautiful living room suit and were almost set on it when Nate said that we probably needed to look around some more because we had not looked a whole lot and there may be something better out there. I agreed so we headed to Sam's Discount Furniture in Springdale behind Cracker Barrell. We walked in an literally spent 2 hours in that store! I loved it! We had 4 living room suits picked out by the end of our excursion and had to narrow it down....that was sooooo hard! I went back and forth and back and forth for a least 30 minutes until finally Nate told me to pick one that I would like for a long time and not get tired of quickly. Well that was easy! I wish he would have said that 30 minutes ago! LoL! As soon as he said that, I walked over to the one I was leaning towards and said it was the one I wanted.(Nate's only request was that it was brown leather which was fine with me!) We are storing our furniture out above the garage at Nate's parents house and are super excited to see it in our house!

I am so lucky to have such a wonderful fiancee! He is so willing to listen to my indecisiveness (which I am often) and I am so blessed to be a part of his life! I am so ready to start our lives together! We have had so much fun getting our house ready and preparing for life together! Pray for us in the next few months that we stay on the right path with the Lord and follow his plan for us.

I have put pictures of our furniture below along with pictures of our dining room table that we have had for a while! We have no chairs yet so any suggestions for where to buy counter height chairs would be greatly appreciated! Enjoy!

Our day together! :)

Today was a very fun day for me and Nate! First, Nate took me out to lunch at Olive Garden....yummmm! We then decided to go look for ammo for Nate's gun (this is not uncommon :) After spending half the day doing that we decided to go over to the house and finish painting one of the bedrooms and start on the next one. We finished up one of the spare bedrooms, started on the main hallway, and Nate almost finished the other spare bedroom. We are definetly going to have to do another coat though! We decided to paint it in this funky green color. It is going to be Nate's "man" room so I wanted him to have a say in the color of it. He said he didn't really care as long as it was some sort of green....so I picked out a funky green that will be cute with his hunting stuff as well! LOL! The other bedroom is probably the only room in the house that is going to be a normal tan color. The rest are all going to be really unique colors. I love color and am definetly not scared to use it!

We had such a good day today though! I had so much fun just being with Nate all day and getting to spend time together. We don't get many days where we get to do that so when we do I like to soak it all up! I know that here in a few months we will be together constantly but right now that seems like FOREVER away!! We are so ready for the next 6 months to fly by!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Chrissy

7 Months!!

Well Nate and I are down to 7 months! Can you believe it!!! We are soo excited and can't wait for these 7 months to fly on by! We just found out that Nathan's parents are going to let us live in their rent house in Lowell! They do not have renters right now (perfect timing!!) and said they would be more than happy to let us stay there! It is so cute! Not to mention the 5 acres it has with it!

Also, our friends Courtney and Justin got engaged on Valentine's Day! We are so happy for them and so look forward to attending their wedding!

Other than that things have been pretty slow...we have still been doing stuff for the wedding but there is only so much you can do this far out! We do have engagement pictures on March 22 and are super excited about that! Then, right after engagements, I have my bridal shoot on April 19th! I have been looking at our photographers blog a lot recently and I am more and more impressed with their work everytime! They are fabulous and I absolutely cannot wait to finally get to work with them and see how they can match mine and Nate's styles!

I will update you soon on more wedding progress!
Chrissy
