So Thursday night we went out to one of Dalton's baseball games...I just love me some baseball! He has been playing since he was 5 in t-ball and I love going to watch him.

Big blog of randomness......

Sunday, May 16th is the Miss USA pageant...and my friend Sarah is Miss Alaska! All of us girls are so excited to get together and watch her compete for Miss USA! She is a beautiful girl both inside and out and we are so happy for her!



Garden update:
Corn is starting to sprout up....very cool! Squash and tomato plants are getting HUGE! I think I even saw some okra coming up today :)


So I am still alive...and I have a lot to update you on!
I have been waiting to post these for a LONG while but I wanted all of them to be finished....my new living room pillows! Aren't they cute! My mother-in-law made them for me. I wanted all of them to be completly different, yet still coordinate. I think she did a FABULOUS job! I wasn't sure at first but looking at these pictures now, I think I am going to make 2 more pillows for the long couch....the loveseat looks nice and full but I think the long couch could use a couple more pillows! (btw....i love me some pillows!)










Last Saturday was my mother-in-law's birthday! We went out to the in-laws house to celebrate with their best friends Kathy and Donald. Isn't her cake cute! Very sassy!

Last weekend my cousin Amanda had senior prom....I just couldn't miss it! She is SUCH a tomboy so any opportunity I get to see her fancied up, count me in! She looked so beautiful!

My brother started baseball this week so I can't WAIT to get out to see one of his games! They are so much fun to watch! We are also going to HOPEFULLY finish painting my laundry room this week so I will post more on that once thats done. Friday night we are hanging out with our friends Courtney and Justin (finally!) who are fixing to close on their first house! YAY! Then Saturday is bro-in-law Kyle's graduation and dinner with the fam! Hope yall have a great rest of the week! I promise I won't wait so long to post next time!

Lunch with Mom :)

So I haven't posted in a while....pretty much because I have been lazy (not a good excuse) but I thought I would post real quick and tell you how great my mom is :) We went to lunch together today at McAlisters(one of our weekly lunch outings at our favorite restraunt)to have a sweet tea and I thought about this upcoming weekend, Mothers Day. I am very thankful to have such a great mom even though I don't tell her near enough. Thanks Mom for being the best mom ever and loving me no matter what! Love you!

Florida...here we come!

Thats right! On August 22 me, my mother-in-law and sister-in-law will be heading to DAYTONA BEACH!!! We only have 123 days as of today! HAHA! Just wanted to share the exciting news!

So I have seen quite a few other people post their top 10 favorite things...I figured I would share mine with you too!

2) The beach....especially the one in the picture below!! (Daytona Beach)

3) OPI's Cajun Shrimp....Im really surprised at how many people love this nail polish! Its honestly the best!

4) Bright Colors! I love to wear them, decorate with them, etc!

5) Jessica Simpson shoes....the ones below are some of my favorites....but I love all of them!

6) Sweet tea....Im from the south! Thats all we drink down here! 7) Anything gawdy and sparkly....love it!

8) Creating something.

9)Breakfast for dinner.....this is my all time fav :)

10)Target and Hobby Lobby....pretty sure they would both be out of business if I didn't visit. LOL!

Gardens Galore!

First off, I have a featured person on my blog today....My Grandma Mae! I spent everyday with her and my Papa when I was little and my Dad and Mom worked. She taught me to cook and basically let me be rotten :)

Well its Wednesday....thank goodness! I'm in need of another weekend. Not sure if you knew this but last Saturday was the best day of the year to put out your garden. My 90 year old Granny Georgia told my grandma that the best day to put one out is the 100th day of the year....so needless to say, Saturday we spent all day putting out my grandma and grandpas garden. It was so fun! Nathan had to run out of town for the day to pick up a part for the truck he is rebuilding so I decided to head over and join in on the fun!

Well since Nate was out of town on Saturday, we decided to put our garden out on Sunday. This was a big deal for us considering we both grew up with our parents having gardens....we have to make sure that ours is as good as theirs were! We had SOOOO much fun deciding what to plant and then laying it all out! It was a good time together! We have 6 rows of veggies and fruit! There is okra, squash, corn, tomatoes, peppers, watermelon, and strawberries! Delicious! There is nothing like fresh veggies from the garden!

We also decided to do some minor landscaping...it was getting dark and we figured we needed something to do this coming weekend so that will be our next project! We really did have a good time!

Now we are just sitting on the couch, watching some boy movie...lol. I am very ready for the weekend this week...its been one crazy week at work this week! Please say some prayers for our friends Courtney and Justin...I won't say why just yet but please just keep them in your prayers! Thanks! Hope everyone has a good rest of the week!

Girls Night!!

Last night we had a MUCH needed girls night! I have looked forward to it all week long! Me, Ash, Court and Ashley had so much fun! We started out our night at PF Changs eating a delicious meal!

We then went out and walked the mall for a while...there we ran into our friends Megan and Julie! We talked to them for a while and then decided it was time for a Target run!! Im obsessed :) We then decided to get a little crazy and go have us some Cold Stone.....delish!!! I don't endulge in that a lot but man, it was SO wonderful! We then decided to over to our house for a little bit....that didn't last long! LOL! We were all so exhausted everyone ended up calling it a night early and I headed to bed! Woke up this morning at 9:30 (!!!!) and have been cleaning house ever since!! Now, Im heading back up to the mall to walk around with Ashtyn for a bit due to the fact that it is 61 degrees here and I am desprately wanting to get outside!! Hope everyone has a FABULOUS weekend!
